Warhammer: Condemned by Fire #1 - In Stores Now!
Posted by: Kinetic - on Friday, May 30, 2008 - 08:27 PM
Computer Games and News
Taken from Boom! Studios:

The Witch Hunters come to the fore in this five issue mini-series from the same team that brought you WARHAMMER: FORGE OF WAR. Tireless foes of Chaos in the Warhammer universe, Witch Hunters roam the Empire seeking to stop the spread of dark magic and witchery of all kinds. When Witch Hunter Magnus Gault hears that the nearby village of Loughville has fallen prey to the canker of Chaos, he is driven to investigate. Once there, he finds the buildings rancid and rotted and the villagers wretched and mutated - eager to prey upon any lost soul who should come their way. Can one man stand against this monstrous regiment? Warhammer 40,000 novelist Dan Abnett, multiple Eisner Award-nominee Ian Edginton, and fan-favorite artist Rahsan Ekedal return to bring you another tale from the epic, fantasy realm that is Warhammer!

Blizzard said that they will be setting replicas of Frostmourne with the pre-orders starting on 5/1/2008. They will also be taking registrations starting today to bid on the first 99. The auction starts on 3/18/2008 12:00PM EST and ends on 3/31/2008 10:00PM EST. Keep in mind there is a $429.00 registration fee on the auction (non refundable) and you will then be required to bid above and beyond that.

Looks like the sword with have a street price of $379.00.

You can get more information and see it by clicking here. As a person that has 2 swords already I will be hard pressed not to get this one.

New Live Update Lands Tomorrow.

Xbox Live updates and news.
You may have been hearing about the latest Xbox Live update, and if you have not you should know that you will seeing it tomorrow. There are a lot of new things that you will see, and we have done our best to let you know what they will be.

The first thing you may notice is the new Xbox Originals service. This will allow you to download original Xbox titles like Halo, Fable, and Psychonauts for 1200 points each. The one thing they will not have is achievements, and they will still have all the same emulation problems as before. The one thing it will allow you to do is stop searching high and low for a copy at your local game store and pawn shop.

You will also see they are lowing the price on some of the Live Arcade Hits. Bankshot Billiards 2 and Lumines Live have been marked down to 800 points each, or for 400 points you can get Zuma, Marble Blast Ultra, or Small Arms.

There is also some new social networking features like being able to see your friends' Friends Lists, and the ability to expand your gamer bio, providing more detailed information about yourself to the Xbox Live community.

For those of you family types the addition of the Family Timer will allow time limits to be placed on the 360. Movie previews are also supposed to get a face lift by letting you see them full-screen. The update will also comes include "enhanced video codec support." What this means is that you will be able to play your DivX and Xvid files on your 360. You can get more info on the video support by clicking here

Finally the dashboard tweaks will make way for a new news feed service called Inside Xbox which will launch on the 11th. It is designed to keep you up to date on 360 news like game releases, events, and Marketplace offers.
